Can minors be pierced at your studio?

Minors

We’re honored when families trust us with their piercings, and we take that responsibility to heart. At JuLhead, we offer piercing services for minors ages 13+ for earlobes and 15+ for cartilage piercings. For both walk-ins and appointments, we kindly require three forms of documentation — the minor’s birth certificate, the minor’s ID, and the parent’s government-issued ID. These are required with no exceptions.


It’s incredibly important to us that the minor is not only willing but genuinely comfortable with the process. We approach every minor piercing with great care, ensuring the experience is positive, respectful, and empowering. We also require that minors clearly understand proper aftercare, as caring for the piercing afterward is just as essential as the piercing itself. We’ll only proceed when both the parent and the minor feel fully confident and ready.

Please note: While we typically do not perform piercings on individuals under 18, very limited exceptions may be made at our staff’s discretion.

Do you take walk-ins?

Absolutely — your visit means so much to us! We’re always happy to welcome walk-ins whenever we can. For piercing services specifically, we can accommodate walk-ins as long as time allows and there are no overlapping appointments during your visit.


Walk-ins are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and are warmly welcomed anytime between 1–7 p.m.

We can’t wait to have you in! 

How can I schedule an appointment?

To reserve your spot at JuLhead, simply head to the Appointments tab on our website to view all available services. Each appointment is scheduled for a generous 30 minutes, giving you plenty of time to ask questions, explore options, and choose the JuLry that feels just right.


If you’re dreaming up a full styling session or planning multiple piercings (more than four services), we also offer a special 1.5-hour appointment dedicated entirely to you.


At this time, appointments can only be made through our website — we’re unable to schedule by phone. If you need any help along the way, feel free to message us using the chat bubble on the right-hand side of the page. We’re always happy to assist!

What does the appointment deposit cover?

The purpose of the deposit is simply to reserve your chosen time frame and the services you’re booking. It’s applied toward your final total and is only forfeited if our Appointment Policy is violated — for example, canceling with less than 24 hours’ notice, arriving more than 10 minutes late, or not showing up.

To give a clearer picture:

• Client A books a pair of Lobe piercings with simple starter studs at $90 each, totaling $180 + tax. Their deposit is applied directly toward that balance.

• Client B selects a pair of starter studs for their Lobes and a showpiece for their Helix. Their final total is based solely on the JuLry selected plus tax, with the deposit deducted at checkout.

In short, the deposit is a friendly assurance that you’ll keep your scheduled time, and it helps us keep the studio running smoothly for everyone. 

Can I bring my own jewelry?

The short answer is no, and we want to explain why with complete care and transparency.


Jewelry purchased elsewhere is often not suitable for initial piercings. To safely pierce you, we must know the exact material, the company it came from, and have access to proper mill certifications. For your safety, we’re only able to use pieces purchased directly from us—either during your visit or from past purchases—and from trusted brands we carry, such as BVLA, Modern Mood, Pupil.Hall, Paloma Body Jewelry, Junipurr, Buddha Jewelry, Body Gems, Norvoch, Quetzalli, Regalia, and LeRoi.


Additionally, many fine jewelry pieces are hand-made and can be delicate. They may crack, warp, or break during the sterilization process, and we would be absolutely heartbroken to damage a piece that is meaningful to you.


Our priority is always your safety, comfort, and the long-term success of your piercing—and using verified, high-quality jewelry helps us give you the best possible experience. 

Do you have a lifetime warranty for your jewelry?

Our studio proudly offers a lifetime repair warranty for all jewelry purchased from us, with a few restrictions depending on the vendor or manufacturer. If you ever have questions about a specific piece, please feel free to reach out—we’re always happy to help.


In the rare event that something goes wrong, such as a broken pin or damaged threads, just let us know. We’ll gladly assist you, and your jewelry may be eligible for a free repair or replacement, based on the studio’s full but fair discretion. While repair costs are covered, the buyer is responsible for any shipping fees.


Please note that this warranty applies solely to repairs and does not cover lost pieces. To qualify, the jewelry must have been purchased directly from our studio.

A little sparkle goes a long way. 

How can I bend the pins of my jewelry ends to ensure a secure fit? And secure my threaded jewelry?

We’ve included a helpful diagram on all Webstore listings that feature threadless pin ends. This shows the basic bending technique we use in-studio for pin ends that are easy to shape, ensuring the perfect amount of tension for a secure, snug fit.


For pin ends that are a little trickier to bend just right (we totally understand — they can be finicky!), we have a technique that makes all the difference. We use a hemostat—which you can easily order online—to hold the pin end at the base while inserting the titanium post backing about one-third of the way. With the hemostat clamped securely, you can create the ideal bend, even adding a gentle curl or zigzag if needed. This helps the pin end lock into the post backing beautifully, giving you that confident, no-worries fit.


Sometimes we bend the pin a third of the way down and again halfway along the pin’s length, creating just the right amount of tension. We recommend practicing a couple of test bends before putting the jewelry back into your ear to ensure the tension feels perfect. Just a friendly note: over-bending can cause the pin to snap — but using a hemostat provides more control and makes the process much smoother.


For gold posts, threadless ends often need to be bent slightly more than usual to achieve optimal tension. Once the pin is shaped properly, it will sit securely and function beautifully.


For threaded jewelry, remember the golden rule:

Righty tighty, lefty loosey!

A quick twist to the right ensures everything is nice and secure.


And of course, for total peace of mind, you’re always welcome to stop by the studio as a walk-in. We’ll happily check the tightness and security of your jewelry and make sure everything is safe and comfortable for everyday wear. 

What if I just “can’t” make it?

We completely understand that life happens and unexpected situations can make it hard to keep an appointment. However, when an appointment is canceled without enough notice, we lose the opportunity to offer that time to another client who may be waiting. For this reason, we kindly ask all clients to honor their scheduled times whenever possible.


If you’re unsure about making it on time, walk-ins are always warmly welcomed—this helps you avoid any cancellation concerns and keeps things stress-free.


We care deeply about our clients, our team, and the time we dedicate to each visit. We also have operational costs and staff schedules to consider, so your understanding and cooperation truly mean the world to us.

What if I lose my jewelry?

We understand how disappointing it can be to lose a piece of JuLry, and we truly empathize. While we’re unable to provide coverage for lost items, your experience and peace of mind matter deeply to us.


To help prevent loss, we gently recommend checking your JuLry from time to time—making sure threadless pin ends are secure and threaded pieces are tightened properly. If you ever feel unsure about the fit or need guidance on keeping everything secure, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always happy to help.


Although our studio policy doesn’t cover lost JuLry, we would be more than delighted to reinstall your piece if you happen to find it again.

What’s is your Domestic and International Shipping Policy?

Shipping

We’re thrilled to send our jewelry collection directly to you. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to our policies, terms, and conditions. Please note that once your jewelry is with the courier and in transit, JuL Head is not liable for any issues. If any problems arise with your shipment or delivery:

• If you purchased insurance during the ordering process, please notify us immediately so we can file a claim on your behalf. Once the claim is resolved, we’ll contact you with our resolution. Please note: claims can take time to process.

• If you chose shipping without insurance, JuL Head is not liable for lost packages.


Most packages are delivered quickly and without issue. On rare occasions, if a package isn’t delivered in a timely manner, it is usually located and redirected—but it’s important to notify the courier promptly. Please inform us as soon as possible, so we can contact the courier immediately, keep the process moving smoothly, and ensure your package is delivered.


Orders are typically shipped within 1–2 business days. If your order contains backordered item(s), we offer two fulfillment options:

1. Hold the entire order and ship it as one package once the backordered item arrives.

2. Ship the in-stock items promptly, then send the backordered item separately once it becomes available. A second shipping invoice will apply to this option.


International Shipping

We’re excited to offer international shipping, with terms and conditions applicable. Please be aware that postage costs may fluctuate due to unforeseen circumstances, which may affect your final shipping rate. Shipping costs vary depending on factors such as destination country, chosen carrier, and distance from the United States, and may change without notice.
